Work Method

Our work method is straight forward; we offer our clients complete working systems. After all, it is very costly for any contractor to find out that the system they have already procured is incomplete or needs more components in order to function properly. Depending on the extent of a project, we require the project floor plans, riser diagrams, specifications, and the bills of quantities. Upon studying the aforementioned items, we prepare our proposals based on U.S. standards (institutional and operating standards) and our knowledge of the specified systems. Our ongoing work as consulting engineers on many projects helps greatly in the decisions we make when quoting a system. Upon receiving a letter of intent we proceed with the preparation of our submittals which include the following:
  • Specification compliance/comparison sheets.

  • Functional block diagrams.

  • Cabinet and rack layouts showing all equipment.

  • Product data sheets.

Specialized systems such as public address, school intercom, and lighting control come fully rack assembled, wired, tested. Manufacturers installation instruction accompany all of the systems as well as supplemental installation instructions such as the following:
  • Detailed equipment lists by floor/section (if applicable).

  • Detailed configuration worksheets for digital/digitally controlled equipment including cable runs.

  • Power supply cable runs and locations.

  • Equipment Layout by location including cable types per location, rooms associated with each drawing (if applicable), and pertinent notes associated with the type of equipment being installed.

  • Riser diagrams for every locations showing all equipment cable types.

  • Detailed circuit layouts for lighting control equipment.
